Information Johnny Detail Collects
This Johnny Detail Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information, booking details, cookies, analytics data, and optional AI vehicle photo data when you visit johnnydetail.com or use our mobile and specialty detailing services.
Personal Information You Provide
When you submit booking forms, contact inquiries, or account registrations, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, address, and service request details (vehicle type, detailing preferences, location).
Vehicle Photos and AI Data Collection
If you participate in our optional AI data collection program (currently offering a 15% discount on detailing services), you may provide up to eight (8) photos of your vehicle plus basic vehicle details (make, model, year, condition, mileage). Participation requires explicit opt-in consent and is entirely voluntary.
Vehicle photos may incidentally include license plates, VINs, garage or driveway locations, faces, or personal objects. Before any AI training or sharing, Johnny Detail removes or obscures identifiable information (license plates, faces, addresses, and other personal details) wherever technically feasible. We do not intentionally collect or retain such identifiers for AI purposes.
Automatically Collected Website Usage Data
When you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures visits and interactions, and Microsoft Clarity provides session recordings, heatmaps and interaction analytics on eligible anonymous pages. These providers receive device, browser, network and usage information, which can include identifiers and personal data. We do not promise that analytics data is anonymous. These services remain disabled until you allow them; Reject Optional or saving them off stops optional tracking, including tracking without cookies. Essential server and account operations continue to process information needed to deliver requested pages and services.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Cookie preferences tool contains a verified inventory of cookie names or patterns, owners, purposes, domains, durations and activation conditions. Not every item is used on every page:
- Essential and functional cookies: Drupal account/cart sessions, the Klaro consent choice, and preferences saved only when you use the related feature, such as the vehicle-offer dismissal or a PayPal funding option.
- Optional analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity cookies are used only after you allow the corresponding service.
- Optional comments: Disqus comments load only after you allow them on a page that offers comments. Disqus may use storage on its own domains.
- Other browser storage: Device-local guide progress, administrative layout preferences, and a vehicle-photo handoff flag use local or session storage, not cookies, only when those features are used.
Use the floating Cookie preferences button to reopen your choices at any time. Accept All allows the listed optional services; Reject Optional blocks them; Customize Preferences lets you choose individual services, and Save Preferences applies those choices. Closing the preferences dialog without saving discards draft changes. Your saved consent choice lasts up to 180 days. Browser limits, cleared storage, or unavailable cookies may cause the tool to ask again.
Withdrawing consent removes matching first-party analytics cookies that this website can access. Johnny Detail cannot erase HttpOnly cookies or cookies owned by other websites. Use your browser controls to review or remove those cookies. Necessary account, cart, requested payment and functional storage remains available. Disqus comments, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are optional.

AI Data Collection Program
If you participate in our AI data collection program:
- Purpose: Vehicle photos and data are used to train AI models for improving detailing services, developing vehicle condition analysis tools, or providing anonymized datasets to third parties (e.g., automotive researchers or insurance industry partners).
- Consent: Participation is voluntary and requires explicit opt-in. This data is collected only with your explicit consent. You may revoke consent at any time.

- Anonymization: Photos and data are anonymized before use in AI training or sharing, removing identifiable information (license plates, personal details, faces, and location identifiers) where possible.
- Retention: Data is retained for up to 2 years unless you request deletion earlier or withdraw consent (subject to legal and technical retention limits for already-anonymized training data).
- Selling Personal Information: Johnny Detail does not sell personal information. Anonymized and aggregated vehicle data (with identifiers removed) may be shared with trusted partners for research or industry insights.
